Cell service is horrible now, never had any issues before a month or so, ago.

I have had Verizon for a very long time and never had an issue with cell service until about around March/April 2020.  I live in Chicago and there has never been an issue- always had 4 full bars.  Now I'm lucky if I get 2 bars but typically it's just 1. This is causing issues with phone calls and everything else I do on my phone. What's going on?????
