$650 trade in promo credit question

Hi ,

I bought a Iphone 7 plus last year and got the  $650 trade in credit (spread over 24 months).  I plan to get the unlocked iPhone X from Apple (lower cost with apple care) , and switch my number to it. I plan to give the iPhone 7 plus to my mom. I will continue to make the device payments ( still ~1 year left) for the iPhone 7 plus.

Will I continue to get the trade in promo credit for the next year ? There are conflicting answers in the threads.
