I have been trying to pre order the new iPhone 12 pro through apple but when I enter in my Verizon information, it tells me I am not an authorized user and that I need to contact the account owner to make me an account manager. However, I am the account owner. I have called Apple and Verizon multiple times and they both just blame the other for the issue leaving me with no resolution what so ever. Recently I tried through Best Buy as well and am getting the same prompt. Of course Verizon says "Well you can order it through us" but the shipping window is late November and I can pick one up from apple this Friday. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix to this issue? Please help.
Dhoover92, upgrading to a new phone should be fun and simple. I am sorry to learn of the difficulties you are experiencing with placing your pre-order. Are you still experiencing difficulties or were you able to place your order successfully?
I am having the same issue. I have spent hours on the phone yesterday with Apple and Verizon. Very frustrated, and thinking of skipping this iPhone entirely this year.
This is the most frustrated and disappointed I have been in years with these. Seems like Apple and Verizon are not ready to assist people this year, the staff in both companies all seemed like trainees. Customer Service FAIL!
Wait on this. I bought an unlocked Iphone12pro fromApple and verizon is the carrier. Its been 3 days Verizon is trying to activate the phone. Meanwhile I have nothing, since wiped old phone after the data transfer. Disaster.
