I live in an area that has poor Verizon coverage; 0-1 bars, sometimes 2 bars. I want to ALWAYS use wifi calling when at my house. I used to force wifi calling by using airplane mode and turning on wifi. Verizon seems to have disabled this workaround. WHY IS THIS? Is there any way to fix this!?!!? There are posts that are three years old with the same issue.
No, it is not my phone. 5 phones in my household have the same problem!
Verizon, are you listening?

Why are you with Verizon still? I'd leave if the carrier can't provide service without depending on wifi to work.

There is no carrier will service in the rural are where I live. Verizon is the best in a bad spot, but with 0-2 bars it’s impossible to make/receive a call. My phone toggles between WiFi calling and cellular and it’s very frustrating and impossible to rely on the Verizon cell phone. The work around used to be turn on airplane mode, but Verizon seems to have neutered that.

Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. Please tell us, when you say, " I used to force Wi-Fi calling by using airplane mode and turning on Wi-Fi. Verizon seems to have disabled this workaround.", can you please clarify what exactly happens when you attempt a call with these settings?
