Why can't I connect my Bluetooth to a car?

Neither of our new I Phone 7's will connect to our 2011 Toyota Sienna as a portable player.  Both will connect as phones.  Nothing in my vehicle owners manual covers this.

Your radio in your car may need a firmware update if available. It's not an issue with the iPhone itself...it's a compatability issue with your radio. Check with Toyota to see if there is a firmware update available (assuming the radio is an OEM radio and not an aftermarket one. If it's aftermarket check with the manufacturer of the radio to see if there is a firmware update available.
