I think you're calculating right. I've seen the same pattern. More time is added on to the delivery date but delivery is actually sooner. Apple is doing the same thing. I've bought five phones in the last three years but always keep them so I never trade or sell. Yes, I'm crazy I think. 
I ordered on 9/23 with an original ship date of 11/16. RoseGold 128g 7+.
Thursday morning I noticed the charge on my card, and went to check status it said shipped. Tracking info showed up around dinner time. My phone is shipping UPS ground2, and will be here by end of day monday!!!
Don't know if it helps, but I was stalking this forum for a while and thought I would contribute. I had an iphone 6 before and in May the logic board just straight up stopped working. The card that was paying for my squareTrade warrenty expired four days before it happened and I forgot to update it!!!!
so I've been using an old galaxy s4 and I hate it. Looking forward to having a working phone again!
