Unable to hear me

So I am on a three way call and as I am driving, both callers cannot hear me, I took off my ear piece and used the handset, after a few minutes I had the same problem. They could not hear me, I had to switch to speaker phone and then they could hear me for a few minutes and again, they could not hear me. Granted I was traveling along a highway in Long Island NY, but I could hear both parties all along. I have no issues with anyone one or one because right after I place another call without any issues. So it is a phone issue or Verizon?
