Good morning, Snotoaster. It's always handy to know when your text messages have been read, so I understand wanting a confirmation. I'm here to help. May I ask which text messaging app are you using?

I believe that I am using I message, at least that is what I see in settings.

For iMessages you send- they’ll indicate ‘read’ when the receiver opens the messaging thread as unless they turn off the ‘send read receipts’ function in their phone under settings/messages

Great question, Snotoaster. I understand the importance of wanting to make sure your message was read. If you are using iMessaging, the receiver has to have the read receipt feature turned on in their iMessage settings. This will only work via iPhone to iPhone. This feature is not available for Android phones. Does this help?
