I can't set up my personal hot spot

I follow the instructions for setting up a mobile hot spot (personal hot spot with iPhone 7 Plus) but I can't find what I am supposed to do to set this up.  Can anyone help me?

I think I might know why I can't set the hot spot up.  Even though my plan shows that the mobile hot spot is included with my plan, it appears that it is only included with the unlimited data selection.  If this is true, please let me know.  Otherwise, I no longer have the hot spot with my upgraded phone.

I have an iPhone without the unlimited plan, and have mobile hotspot, so the unlimited plan is definitely not required. That said, you may want to call in to Customer Care to verify that the mobile hotspot feature is still enabled on your account after the device change. But if it is, and the normal steps aren't working, I would perform a Reset Network Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings), verify mobile data is enabled (Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data), then then try turning Personal Hotspot on once again.

Bevwil26, enjoying that hot spot is absolutely something that we want for you. As a mother of 3, I know that we frequently use this for road trips. Let's take a closer look at what is happening for you. You mentioned following the steps, are you able to provide the exact steps that you are taking? Also, what plan do you currently have?

I changed my plan to unlimited, and now I cannot set up my personal hotspot.  What should I do?

We want to make sure you are able to enable your Personal Hotspot. Have you checked to see if you have the Mobile Hotspot feature on your line?

We are here to help you with anything that you need. Before we get started, have you contact Verizon to make sure that your hotspot is turned on in our system? What happens when you try to use the hotspot feature? Do you get an error?
