I'm a big fan of playing games on my device, so I'd be lost if my history didn't transfer from one device to another. Most game progress is saved within Game Center, so it's important that you're logged in using the exact same account you were on your old phone. Go to Settings > Game Center and ensure the same Apple ID is shown. Game Center is no longer on the iPhone 7

iPhone 7 does have Game Center data, just no longer the app. If your games are saved on a social media platform, you can log in with those credentials and restore your game data as well.
