bjm1075, I want to make sure that you are getting the answers that you are looking for. Have you been able to reach out to the Trade-In program by phone? They would be able to give you the information on why the trade in gift card was lower. You can get ahold of them by calling 877-835-2024

I wanted paperwork that stated the trade in value is $200.00. That is what

the promotion wa..it was Trade in your old iphone for a new iphone 6 for

free. not "Send your phone back and we will randomly decide that you can't

get $200.00" I didn't send the phone back because I wanted that

paperwork, so I, unlike so many on the message board, still have my 4s.

Thank goodness, because I see that unless I go to the BBB and complain,

Verizon will have some excuse (like it doesn't power on or the find my

iphone app is on) to not pay the 200.00. Trade in was useless, they told

me via email to go to a store.. Why would I do that? I did the order via

phone with Verizon, why get a store involved? Another excuse? In

addition, I know someone personally who has been waiting since the

beginning for his rebate.. No worries, I am looking into AT&T today. Or,

YOU can issue me a 200 credit so I can pay my bill with it and I will stay

with Verizon. Its a shame, I do think its the best network and I have been

with you since 1998, but no worries, AT&T will be glad to have another

ex-Verizon customer..

Yes I just realized it gave the reason on website. It says drive doesn't power on and LCD bruised missing pixels?!? I am wondering if it doesn't power on how can they tell the lcd is bruised??  Alway my son was still using it up to the trade in.  My account records will show that

"Kevin"  Just admit it.. you are going by a script and can't really do anything.  Trade In department is useless. This was one of two things. 1. A GIANT fuck up by Verizon who doesn't want to admit they can't handle the volume. 2. A planned scam... Either way...BUH BYE VERIZON for me.  IF you have no respect for customers, why should I stick around?  16yrs should be worth Verizon doing the right thing.. Apparently not.

It's a complete scam.  Fraudulent in my opinion.  Should be a class action lawsuit.

I called the trade in number and told them I filed the complaint with BBB and how the store had stated it would be worth 200 without looking at it and instantly I received an email with the remainder of money.

I just field a complaint with the BBB.

I cannot be bothered calling Verizon again.  I have called them multiple times on this and they haven't even bothered to keep their promises and call me back.  I'll go through the process with the BBB and see where it gets me.

I traded in two phones got an email with minimal information about my gift card. There is no information about how to use it and what the number and password are. I have gotten no response from Verizon.
