contact listed as "me" is not me

In activating my new iphone 6 (4.7") the phone kept asking for my husbands appleID password (it already had his login) and wouldn't allow me to change it. I skipped that step but now it has his contact (on my contact list) marked as "me". Years ago we tried family sharing on iTunes (before we even had iphones), is this why there is confusion now?

you will need to go into settings>icloud>and deactivate "find my iphone", then you will want to do a restore, by going into settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings

That should work hopefully
