Why can't I view my e-mails and photos in landscape view?

We just had a software update today.  However, now I'm unable to view my e-mails, videos, photos in the landscape view.  It stays in the upward view.  How can this be fixed.

Are you sure rotation lock isn't on? Swipe up from bottom, last button icon should off (gray not white)
