Getting ahead of potential SIM issues is good thinking. The actual SIM from an iPhone 5C will fit into an iPhone 6 perfectly, as they are both a Nano SIM. Although it will fit, it is not guaranteed to work. When inactive for so long, older SIM cards go into a retired state and will no longer work. It doesn't hurt to give it a try. Worse-case scenario, you can pick up a new one at a store location. Does this information help? What exactly will you be doing with the iPhone 6?
