I'm having the exact same problem as rmills06 - thanks for posting. Completely inaccurate GPS while on LTE, though I'm not totally convinced that my location is as accurate as it used to be on wifi. The radius still seems to be quite large even when I'm connected via wifi i.e. it's not accurate to within a few feet as it seemed to be before. I've been to the Apple "Genius" bar three times now but first time checking the VZ community pages. Seems like this all makes sense and points to a carrier issue. MY GPS has been useless for weeks now.
I have an iPhone 6, Version 9.2.1 (13D15), Carrier 23.2.
Needs to be addressed ASAP.

Hi Mistry125, I appreciate you bring this issue to my attention you are having with your device not showing the accurate GPS location. Let me assist you. Have you confirmed if your location services are turned on in your settings? Here's a link that show how to check on this area http://vz.to/1P9fD1i and keep us posted.

Cmcvey23, thank you for troubleshooting with us. I am sorry to hear no positive changes yet. No worries, here to help. I am confident we can get this resolved. Just to clarify how exactly did you do the full reset?

I can assure you that I've followed all the troubleshooting suggestions, reset and restored my phone multiple times, and I've been to the Apple store a number of times to confirm there are no physical issues (sensors and gyro are ok). Based on the number of users having the same exact issue, I can't see how this can be anything but a carrier issue.

Just to further confirm what Mistry125 is stating as the problem. On my end I had NO ISSUES before the carrier update. The carrier update completed and BOOM...my GPS location goes to poop. Please note, as others have said, the location is terrible whenever there is cellular only (LTE, or otherwise) even with wifi enabled (not connected). As soon as we connect to wifi the location vastly improves and on my end it is within a few feet.
I have done the complete phone reset and tested the location after resetting and before adding any apps to the phone. The GPS was still inaccurate (yes...connected to cellular only, but wifi turned on). And yes...I had the location services enabled, including the map diagnostic information. I've always had that on.
I know someone else was saying it can't be the carrier update because of blah, blah, blah...but you can't dismiss the timing off the issue and our symptoms being consistent among a number of us. I'm done trying to troubleshoot and hoping this gets us another carrier update or God forbid we wait until the Apple OS 9.3 comes out in a few months and crossing my fingers....

I did the full factory reset through iTunes as recommended in your prior
link. Tried it as a clean wipe, didn't work, then did it again and restored
my iPhone from a backup, also didn't work. Still isn't more than 5 mile
radius accurate (just 78ish square miles).

CmCvery23,
We appreciate you giving that a shot. We don't want this to be an ongoing issue for you either. If a hard reset did not resolve the problem then there may be other issues at hand wihtin the hardware. Are you aware if the device is within warranty? If so, and there is not physical or water damage to the phone a replacement order can be started by calling 800-922-0204. However, if there is damage to the device or it is outside of warranty, then we could look at other options such as activating a spare device or insurance if the line is insured.

Can I call and see if I can get another device? I'm pretty sure my phone is still under warranty. While I don't think it will help...its worth a shot I suppose.

While at the Apple store did you ask one of the representatives if they would try their own iPhone to see if it worked with what you're trying to accomplish?
Or inquire about the Modem Firmware version for your model iPhone, to perhaps find out if that might be an issue?
