My iphone 5s has poor signal strength in areas where my iphone 4 gets strong signal. It doesn't appear to recognize or benefit from the Verizon booster I have at home--I am dropping calls regularly. I can't update roaming by dialing *228, so what can I do to improve signal strength?

Jerrysigler,
Dropped calls and low signal can become quite frustrating. We absolutely want you to get reliable service at your fingertips. May I have the zipcode in the area of where you experience low signal? Also, does this happen both indoors and outdoors? We would love to investigate further.

Thank you for following up on my post. I live in zip code 48189. My wife
has had verizon iphone 5 for several months and having same problem, while
my iphone 4 worked just fine. I just got my iphone 5s and am having same
problem at home...it's like the booster we have is doing nothing.
But now I'm in downtown Ann Arbor, zip code 48103 and instill have only two
bars of signal...so in general we are not getting strong signal anywhere.

Hi Jerrysigler,
Having signal problems can be really annoying, especially if it's after you've upgraded to a newer, better phone! Try dialing #48 while you're home to see if your phone is under Network Extender coverage. Also, do you have a case on your phones? Try removing any cases or covers, just to make sure they are not interfering with the signal on the device.
I am showing good coverage in the 48189 area, however there are some areas of extended coverage. Try following these instructions to enable data roaming on your devices, and see if services improve. http://vz.to/1kqsblY If you are on one of your current plans, such as Share Everything, or our Nationwide plan, you should not be billed roaming anywhere in the United States.
Please let us know if these steps help to improve your service experience!
Thank you,

Unfortunately, removing the case and activating the data roaming haven't
fixed anything (voice roaming was already active).
Can you tell me why the verizon booster in my house that helped the signal
strength of my iPhone 4 (A LOT) is not doing anything to help my iPhone 5?
Are different boosters only compatible with certain iPhones?

Jerrysigler,
Thanks for trying the suggested tips! Have you tried resetting the network settings http://vz.to/1c7nMjm on your wife's iPhone 5? This will definitely help with the signal.
Keep me posted if the issue persist.
