I don't understand why Verizon is not doing what AT&T is doing by allowing their grandfathered in unlimited data users continue it. Another reason Verizon is the worst. Looks like I'll be paying full price for the iPhone 5.

I called Verizon and they are able to keep you with an unlimited plan based on your account. It actually saved me a lot of money each month changing plans.

You're not going to get concrete answers here either in this peer to peer community forum.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Well they throttle at 3GB of data usage to slow as mollassus. Verizon so far seems to not throttle their 4G at all. You get the same speeds at 3GB or at 80GB... Even 100GB... So is it really unlimited for AT&T?

Just wanted to let fellow VZW users know that they are taking advantage of long time customers. I myself am outraged.

Verizon does throttle their 4G as well the only reason Verizon's throttling is 'not as bad' is because it throttles until passed to a different cell tower while AT&T throttles until the billing period, however 3Gigs is better then 2Gigs.

Proof? They do not throttle their 4G. Verizon throttles 3G, but not 4G.

I have used 2GB to 60GB and NEVER seen a drop in my speeds EVER. If there is a drop in speed it could be a network issue and NOT Verizon throttling. If they did "throttle" I should be throttled every month.
some future it may be different, but currently it's is not true at all. Here's some reference...

Does Network Optimization apply to customers using 4G services?
No. We reserve the right to include 4G LTE users later, but right now this only applies to the top 5% of users with unlimited data plans using 3G devices. If you have a 4G LTE device you will not be affected at this time.

LTE users are throttled at 5GB on AT&T, not 3GB.

I misspelled Molasses... Anyway that's good to know, but at least for now Verizon doesn't throttle at all for 4G was what I was getting at.

Hey thanks for the inside info because we were totally unaware you had to pay full price for phone to keep unlimited before you posted! And no you are NOT being taken advantage of. If you feel that way go with At&t or Sprint since both will also have the Iphone 5.
