This is a known issue however your in luck because there is a fix. Completely deplete your battery to 0%. You should be getting the battery indicator with the charging cable below it when attempting to turn on. Then, plug it into an AC power source, and completely charge the battery to 100%, but do not leave it on longer. Then unplug, deplete it to 0%, then charge to 100% again. This should help.

Some tips:

  • Avoid exposing iPhone to extreme heat and cold.
  • For the first 3 charge cycles, fully charge the battery overnight and allow it to fully discharge before recharging (battery conditioning).
  • Charge and re-condition a battery after an extended idle period.
  • A lithium-ion battery may be damaged by extensive overcharging (continuously on a charger for more than 24 hours).
  • Use the battery. If possible, avoid letting your battery sit idle for long periods of time.
  • Use only the phone options and accessories that are really needed.
  • Closing unused apps running in the background is another way to help save battery life.
  • Another way to help save battery life is to monitor battery-consuming features like GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, background data sync, and screen brightness.
