As of Oct 2nd no VZW stores anywhere in eastern Massachusetts have any 5s phones in stock. Clerks have no idea if and when shipments arrive. And they don't care. This is lousy service for a customer who has been a loyal VZW customer with 4 family members on an account for over 15 years. Clerks tell me the only way to get a 5s phone is to order online, but now I see that nothing will arrive before Novenber. This is a botched rollout and everyone knows it. Just look at all the complaints and delayed orders.

It is an item in high demand. You could already press Apple to increase their production.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Lame. No excuse for running out of inventory within two weeks of launch.

Do you think that Verizon least of all the individual stores have any control over the inventory of the new iPhones at this point? Seriously?

Actually it was just days after that they ran out of their inventory. It was Apple's glorious decision to no allow pre-orders on the iPhone 5s. Verizon Wireless and Apple had to make an educated guess on how much to stock in the stores and the warehouse. If you want to blame any one, blame APPLE!

If you haven't noticed, this phone is high demand, higher than Apple expected it to be. You can't blame Verizon because Apple didn't produce enough of them. And it being a high ticket item is a great "excuse" for them to run out of inventory, I don't understand how you think its a bad excuse? More people want, more are sold, no inventory left,....that's common knowledge. I'm sure Verizon appreciates your business but Apple can't magically create these phones in Santa's workshop. They care, but your going to have to wait in line, like everyone else.

Yes, seriously, moron. This is all about Verizon choosing to opt for poor customer service to capture some early sales. You walk into a VZW store and there are signs everywhere "The New Apple 5s is Here!" Umm not they're not. Go online and they advertise that the phones are available. Umm nope, unless you think waiting 30 days is "available." You make my point: if Verizon knowingly went ahead with the full expectation they will run out, then they are TOTALLY to blame, for choosing to screw the customer. But in your world, that's acceptable. Lame.

I assure you that I have flamed just as loudly to Apple as I have done here and elsewhere to Verizon. Apple isn't responsible for Verizon customer's satisfaction. That's up to Verizon, and they blew it, and with complete disregard to loyal long-term customers.

Oh gosh jroeder, I didn't notice.... oh wait, that's the whole point. I can certainly blame Verizon for even thinking of going to market with an inadequate supply knowing full well they will create an extremely poor customer experience. But what the heck, why not? As long as there are lame suckers like you and ttipgem who will just roll over and say "oh well, I'll just stand in line... *sigh*" and gladly accept lousy service. How about producing enough before selling to channels (Apple's fault) and not offering the product until there is enough in inventory for the anticipated high demand. There shouldn't have been a line. Even Santa knows that, if you haven't noticed.
