I can not beliieve that VZW is forcing me to change my data plan that I am grandfathered in. I currently have the 29.99/unlimited and they want me to go to the new data pricing. I cant believe they treat loyal customers like myself that day in and day out I struggle to pay the high bills to keeps them just because I like the data plan I have but if they are going to treat me that way I should just cancel all my lines and not give them any business at all!!!

There are A TON of threads on this forum about the loss of unlimited data. It became effective the end of June when the Share Everything plan was announced. To keep your unlimited data, you can either buy your phone at full retail price or buy it from somewhere like ebay. If you get a subsidized phone, you can choose to keep your calling plan and switch to a tiered data feature (i.e., $30 for 2 gb) or switch to the Share Everything plan. And, if you aren't aware (and again, there are A TON of threads on this forum about it), there also is now a $30 upgrade fee that was implemented this spring.

You will get to keep your unlimited data plan IF YOU PAID THE FULL RETAIL PRICE OF THE IPHONE 5. Just call Verizon (800) 922-0204 after you receive your phone and they will revert your plan back to unlimited (IF YOU PAID THE FULL RETAIL PRICE ON NEW IPHONE 5)

And if you think it is bad now.... We are just seeing those that a) did the preorder, and b) understood the consequences of the data plan change. I bet there are a lot more who were so excited in the preorder they just clicked through, and we will hear from them when they get overage charges in the next few months.

Loyal customers don't complain, my company right or wrong.

I know (sigh). And they didn't bother to check the forum for answers first, way too excited I suppose.

I agree. If I decide to stay with Verizon, I will certainly not buy the iPhone 5 from them. I am not giving them any more business. I already pay more than I would pay with any other carriers. No more business to Verizon. I will just get it directly from Apple. I hope that ATT will capitalize on this. I used to be with ATT--a long time ago. I moved to Verizon for the service. I will move back to ATT in a hurry if they offer Verizon customers who switch an unlimited data plan.

Verizon doesn't make the sale of devices... They make money off the services they provide. So if you don't want to do business with Verizon you should switch carriers. AT&T will not offer unlimited data plans for Verizon customers. They were the first to remove the unlimited data plan, and all carriers are bound to follow(more than likely when their LTE networks are near completion).

They're gonna be a tiny bit upset about the $30 upgrade fee as well.

yep; whenever I've replied about the unlimited data "issue", I've thrown the upgrade fee in there as well
