Hello, I have an iPhone 5C with Verizon and my phone was just in a tragic accident with my car's trunk. :O( A co worker of mine recently switched over to the iPhone 6 and was offering to give me her iPhone 5. Of course she unlocked it, but I was wondering if I could use that unlocked phone with Verizon? I rather not pay for the insurance or buy a new phone since for one, I can get this one for free & two my contract has another year on it so I can't upgrade and redo my contract. @

You don't say what provider your co-worker has.
You would only be able to use the iPhone 5 from your co-worker on Verizon if she used it on Verizon.

Oh the tragedy! I definitely want you in a phone that working! To be sure that this phone (thank goodness for friends!) will work on our system, click the link http://bit.ly/nsiBHo and check the ESN/MEID to see if we can get it to work on our system.

Sadly no, her phone is an unlocked phone from AT&T.
