I received an IPhone 5 and gave my daughter my IPhone 4. We synced them with different email accounts. I keep getting her texts from her friends and whenever I send her a text I receive the text as well. I called Verizon they told me to resync the phone which I did not working HELP

I am guessing you have both phones using the same iTunes account which the iMessage app recognizes and uses as an ID for messaging.  I believe you need to set up different accounts on each phone to eliminate this problem.

Go into settings Messeges then recurve at and delete the email that the same as your apple id you have on there. Just have you number as receive at.

Don't go mad! We can work this out! As the two commenters have stated, it seems as though you and your daughter may be using the same Apple ID. You have the option of creating a new Apple ID for her or changing the settings so that not all info is shared. Keep in mind that if you do share an Apple ID, any apps, music etc that are purchased on one device will also be transferred to the other device. If you don't want that to happen, go to Settings, iTunes and AppStore and have your daughter sign out of your iTunes account and create her own. Another thing to check is going to Settings, Messages, Send & Receive. Verify only the number is selected and not the email address.

I'm glad you got most of your question answered tuckygal. To change Apple ID, you can sign out of iTunes from phone, then create new ID on the computer, and then sign into iTunes on phone with new ID. (You may have to power phone off after you sign out of iTunes, before signing in with new ID.) Please let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

Thank you,
