How do initiate LTE service without a 3rd phone?

Looking to upgrade from my iPhone 4 to the 5s and the instructions say to turn off the old phone, initiate the LTE from any other phone except your new phone, then turn on the new phone. But I don't have any other phones at home aside from these two. Is there a way to do it online?
