If the phone won't power up no matter what you do, you could take it to an Apple Store to see if they can do anything. Other than that, I would replace the phone. If you have insurance on the phone, contact the underwriter.
My phone means everything to me, so let's get yours out of the dark. Were there any recent changes to the phone before this happened like a software update or new apps? Is there any physical or liquid damage to the phone?
