*67 question

When I use *67 to block my ID, my calls do not go through and I get the message that the number being called has been changed or disconnected. If I call the same number without *67, the call goes right through. How do I block my ID?

LDEAA,

Thanks again for the details. Let's take a quick look at one particular setting to see if it may be impacting out calls. If you go into Settings, Phone, do you notice if Dial Assist is on? If so, let's disable it and try a test call.

LDEAA,

Look no further is here. I completely understand you wanting to keep your number blocked when placing the call. Are you looking to block your Caller ID with all calls or only when calling certain people?

How are you dialing the number? Are you entering *67 and then the ten digits number or are you entering 1 before the ten digit number? Are you getting the same recording when attempting this with only a certain number?

I want to block my number on only certain select calls. I am a physician

and make many call backs to patients. There are some patients whom I do not

want to have my personal cell phone number, so I want to block those calls.

I get the error message on all *67 calls regardless of how I enter it. I

dial *67 then I dial the ten digit or 11 digit number. It doesn't matter if I

use the 1-area code or just start with the area code without the 1.

LDEAA,

Blocking your number is certainly an important feature. Especially in your line of work. You do want to dial:

*67(123)456-7890 then hit send

Is this how you are dialing? Or are you hitting:

*67 send & then the number?

It should all be in a row when using *67 to block your number.

I first dial *67, then the 10 digit number. I then receive the recorded message that the number I am calling has been changed or disconnected. When I dial the 10 digit number without the *67, the call goes through without any problems.

That explanation is greatly appreciated, Larry. First, let me seek some clarification.

Does this happen when you call all numbers or for specific numbers? Would you prefer to have all calls blocked? If so, there is a feature we can add that will block your number for every single call that will eliminate you hfrom having to dial the *67 before the call.

This occurs when I try to block any number with *67. I do not want to block

all of my calls, only certain ones.

It sounds like you are pressing send right after entering *67, which would cause an error message.
