I switching my phone to my wife's old iphone. I did everything I needed to on switching the device online so now working on activating the phone. When I dialed *228 appalachian wireless activation service activation comes up. I drove to a verizon 3g area and tried resetting everything and just starting over and its still the same thing. I called verizon and they are clueless. Anyone have any ideas?
Is the iPhone by chance a non vzw phone ?

I trust that your activation issue has been resolved by now. When processing the activation make sure that both phones are off in order to complete activation.
