A recent addition to VZW's iPhone 4 faq mentions that applecare will be sold by both Verizon and Apple that will cover the phone. Applecare is primo. I'd rather deal with Apple on warranty coverage than anyone else. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Verizon covers much with their insurance package. I'm currently paying something like $7/month to cover my Incredible and I believe if I actually want to USE the insurance there is a $70 deductible. That means if I use the insurance to cover the phone once after 12 months I've paid $154... I could just get a used Incredible for craigslist for $200. Ask me why I have insurance then if this is how I feel... I don't know, I guess I don't always act on my convictions. So what's the point of my rant? Well, AT&T's iPhone's Applecare is $70 I think... one time $70 and I'm pretty sure it covers 2 years. Do the math. Financially it's better by a long shot. A really long shot. And I don't want to fail to mention the customer service given by Apple cannot be beat IMHO.
EDIT: I think I'm wrong on a lot of this stuff... Asurion actually covers damage, loss and theft depending on the package you have. Pretty sure Applecare is more like just a warranty. Sorry for misinformation
