That may be true in theory, but this is a horrible place to get support for iPhone compared to other forums on the web.  Apple's support community, while very busy, is a much better place to get phone specific support.  This may be a good place to get Verizon specific support on the phone, but if you really want iPhone specific help, there are better places than this.

Agreed.  The Apple support forums are my first stop for any question I have had.  I check here quite a bit to see what's what and lend a hand if I can.

I see one possibility...

Are you looking for warranty replacement of your Blackberry or are you looking to use your upgrade to get the iPhone? Usually, with warranty replacements, they only replace the bad phone with an exact, or closest thing to, same model. But with an upgrade, there should be no reason for thd iPhone to be excluded from your choices. Make sure the rep knows what you wish to do.

To the Op i can understand your frustrations:

I have seen an been thru this in the past first with Alltel an some what with Verizon. An now our Cable Company that once let the customers service Bill Accessories. Like Modems, Routers, Cables for there tv's Like HDMI or Componet cable an other stuff has cut off this altogether as they say there a retail style store now.  An they have went as far as to stop customers that callout service calls needing new equiptment because of issues with it from service billing as you could in the past.

 

But what Happen with Cox to Good customers like me an my folks an with the service billing is the One's out there that like to steal... meaning they would get equiptment bill it to there Acc. an then would'nt pay for it when there statement came.  An when they did this it left a bad tast in the companies Mouth an messed up a good thing for folks that were honest with the Company. 

 

This happened also with Alltel an for a while they stopped Service billing because there were Cust. that bit off more than they could Chew of the steak an choked at the high bill they got an would'nt pay it. Just left it... An it takes a company a while to find those people if they can at all

 

But there have been times though that the Rep did'nt disclose all of what he or she should have an got good folks that Service bill an pay there bill on time into trouble i've seen this as well an it takes Customer service to fix it.  If they will... Most of the time they'll work with the Customer because they don't want to loose them.

 

But it's hard to say we've been with Company Alltel an Now Verizon for 8 years an i've seen the service bill option change in level of how much we can charge to it being unavailable one month then being available again 6 months later.  It's a tough one to call.  An what they allow  could be determine from what your Credit Score is.. as all these companies seem to have this on us now. 

 

Heck some day in the future it may be were you have to be in pristeen Helth > Have credit like a millionair >Look like a fashion model :smileyvery-happy: Just to go into one these places or to visit the Head. of there Establishment. :smileywink:  Just being alittle funny B33

What about if exact isn't available & the one available has less features & a much lower retail price than the original one (& in CA we have to pay sales tax on the full retail or list price--not the contract w New Every 2 price)?

 

I'm still kind of wondering about this as I had Windows mobile 6.3-5 phones, starting with HTC Touch Pro 2 starting having problems & finally was replaced but by then the only other 1 with a keyboard was the LG Fathom which doesn't have a digital voice recorder & doesn't have all the nice aps. & doesn't work real well.  & the screen is smaller & its harder to read--harder on my not so young any more eyes. Verizon called it an upgrade even though it was a replacement so I feel like I didn't get what I paid for as far as the replacement (TP2 retailed for $600+, Fathom for $300+ although same contract price).

 

I know that they fact that the replacement wasn't really comparable was not Verizon's fault as Microsoft came out with Windows Phone 7 making winmob 6.5 kind of obselete, so less choices available, but I still had biz aps I needed it for, but it still remains that I was given what I consider an inferior smart phone as a replacement, so I feel like they owe me a credit.

 

I'm eligible for an upgrade & should be eligible for New Every 2 as well & want a reliable phone like I expect the iPhones to be. I would like to get the iPhone 4S.
