Why is our new iPhone 4s disconnecting from the Verizon network?

The facts:
2 iphone 4s models on one account. Active just 2 days.
Mine is fine, my wife's keeps disconnecting from Verizon. If you power off and on, it will reconnect. That worked on the first day Now it is not staying connected, it will disconnect again almost immediately.
Note- leaving a wi-fi area seems to disconnect telephone service as well.

Let's get that phone connected to the network for good therealdjbc! Please call *228 from that phone and select option 1. Power off/on at the end of the call and test. Keep us posted.
