I have talked to a couple of folks that bought a Razr and a Reound and they like those phones very much, although they report (GASP) the occasional data signal drop...

I chalk the data loss to a being a whole new network compared to AT&T and T-Mobile they are using HSPA+ which is basically a firmware update to their existing 3G network. AT&T and T-Mobile had the growing pains when they deployed their 3G network(ironically it's WCDMA), and from what I was hearing AT&T is having some trouble with their LTE as well but since it's a slower deployment, and T-Mobile Acquisition talks it doesn't get the fanfair Verizon is getting with theirs.
Sometimes tried and true technology with a few years of work behind it is often always better. I think by the time 2013 rolls around Verizon should have it figured out. Sometime during 2012 hopefully
This is ONE of the reasons why Apple chose to forgo LTE right now as it is unproven to be reliable. Next year when they release the next version it may have LTE if Verizon and/or AT&T does well.

Well Guys i think LTE is long from being out of the Woods of having issues. To me i'm kind of thinking there pushing to much product out of the Dam of what the Dam can hold an it might one of these Days reach back an bite em were they don't want it Too... As it has showed alittle of this when bionic was launch..LTE was " belching an a Fartin" like a wildcat trying to keep up^^ an if i reamember Correctly it went down for a few hours. Now what the heck would we have done if we had to Totaly depend on it as our only system.... An no 3G to back it up.

You have to go into the tech tools to turn off EDRP(I believe that's what it is called) to get 3G constantly if 4G goes down. I had to do that a few times with a few of my coworkers devices. LTE has worked out pretty well in Hawaii, but considering this portion of the network is very small compared to the rest of the US lol. We haven't had much trouble with it here just the occasional drop here and there, but not like how it is in some other states.

The first thing I did with all 3 Bionics was to set them to CDMA-only. Still had epic data dropping issues, among other things with those phones. And I was thinking "gee, how can 3 phones have the same data issues, perhaps it's the network?". Then I got the iPhone and whattyaknow, no data issues.
(since I'm again guilty of topic swerve, I'm bracing myself for another thrashing from that topic swerve policeman that lurks elsewhere around here. I'm preparing the appropriate response, as well...)

my list of reasons
1. no choice in phone size, keyboard
2. no widgets
3. have to use itunes
4. no sideloading without jailbreaking
5. apple limiting things on purpose to bring a new phone out every year
(the iphone 4 had the global chip, just no antenna and it wasnt activated)
6. the 4s shoulda had lte
7. no removable/swappable battery
8. no sd card slot
im sure im forgetting a few things

1. no choice in phone size, keyboard I think anyone that chooses one of any touchscreen only phones are ok with this
2. no widgets The only people that miss widgets are those that used Droids or Androids in the 1st place (I would think). For that reason I can understand.
3. have to use itunes Is there a specific reason that you're anti-iTunes? Specific personal use reasons and not based on stuff you read or heard? I ask because I have known people that declared a hate for iTunes based off of what they assume and a lot of what they assume is actually incorrect (or they only know part of the truth). Not saying that's you...just curious
4. no sideloading without jailbreaking Less tech inclined people likely don't care so much about sideloading, but if it's important to you then it would def be an issue
5. apple limiting things on purpose to bring a new phone out every year
(the iphone 4 had the global chip, just no antenna and it wasnt activated) It takes more than the chip to make it global on a CDMA network so that's misleading
6. the 4s shoulda had lte According to whom?
7. no removable/swappable battery I have never had to swap batteries on any device so not that huge of a deal. That's why car chargers and other methods are great
8. no sd card slot There is on the iPhone 4s so unless you're looking to buy an 8gb 4 then this is mute
im sure im forgetting a few things

actually i started widgets in winmo 6

last time i used it it put itself in charge of all my music/vids, it acted more like a virus then software
i like copying my stuff manual, but thats me

true, but if they were using the chip, why not make it work
and recall back to the original iphone that had no pic messeging when it first came out
6. the 4s shoulda had lte According to whom?
ummmm iirc it has hspa+, but not lte? heck some people still think its lte sicne they the name has a 4 in it
7. no removable/swappable battery I have never had to swap batteries on any device so not that huge of a deal. That's why car chargers and other methods are great
there are places you cannot charge, and spare batteries come in handy
8. no sd card slot There is on the iPhone 4s so unless you're looking to buy an 8gb 4 then this is mute
huh? maybe i want to buy an 8gb and put a 32gb card i already have in a phone
the price manufacturers cahrge to go from 8gb to 16gb or 32 gb is way more then the cost of a card
im sure im forgetting a few things
