Why can't I set up voice mail?

My iphone 4 wont set up voicemail...screen just reads...Voicemail Unavailable unable to connect try again later...any thoughts?

We want every feature on device to work properly. We know receiving voicemails are vital when your unavailable to answer the device. Lets get this fixed. Is your Wi-fi turned off? Settings>Wi-fi>switch to OFF.  Are you able to browse the Internet on the device? Has the voicemail ever worked on this device?

Oh, it uses data? that explains it...I have a wifi only plan...so that means no voicemail for me then I guess.

Voicemails are important, let's take a look at other voicemail options for you.What Wi-Fi only plan do you have?

While the Visual Voicemail service may be unavailable, we can assist in setting up regular Voicemail, Mitch01234. Either dial and call your ten-digit mobile number or *86 to get this started. Just listen to the prompts.
