Is the Verizon Wi-Fi feature included with Verizon iPhone data plans?

Wi-Fi use on your iPhone is free and included as long as you have access to a hotspot or your home wi-fi. The feature that allows you to connect other devices to wi-fi usig your iPhone as a hotspot is not included...that costs $20/month in addition to your data plan.

Sounds good. Does that plan allow you to connect to VZ's Wi-Fi Hotspots as well (similar to AT&T's Wi-Fi Hotspots)?

I'm not sure about that...you can try looking at the terms and conditions to see if it mentions that or call and ask a rep at VZ to give more clear details about the feature. http://support.vzw.com/terms/products/broadbandaccess_nationalaccess.html

Thank you for the information provided. The Apple iPhone requires a data plan of $29.99 which allows unlimited Internet access from the device. This device is also Wifi capable in which you may obtain a wireless connection  (if available) to gain Internet access on the device. Since it requires the Unlimited data plan, the only time Wifi should be used is if you are in an area where there is no 3G coverage. Additionally, the Mobile Hotspot feature allows you to access the Internet on a PC using the Verizon Wireless connection from the device. This feature is $20.00 per month for 2GB. Any usage above the 2 GB allowance will be billed at a GB rate of $20 for 1 additional GB.  

 

This feature can be added via My Verizon by logging on, Select Change features, then check 3G Mobile Hotspot & Mobile Broadband Connect, and submit.

Thank you for your feedback. Adding to what was stated, the wifi is a separate function available on the iPhone not related to the data plan on your wireless line. This is because when you enable wifi on your device, it is using someone elses data connection to access the internet. Once you disable the wifi connection, you will be back on the Verizon Wireless network for data access.
