Question about the hotspot feature on my iphone 4

I am a member of Amazon prime and I gruelingly watch it with my slower than snails campus Internet, I have tried for a split second to play a video using my hotspot feature then shut it off. Here's the thing tough, it was MUCH faster! So my question is, about how much data will it consume to do this with my plan. I am signed up for 6 GB plan but I can already guess that wont be enough. Is there a way to see how much data streaming is taking somewhere on my computer? I am running Mac OS X 10.6.8 on a 16GB memory with a 1333 MHz DDR3 3.4GHz Intel core i7 Thanks in advance!

I think someone said Netflix each movie us 100-200 mb standard but it depends if you have good signal not 1x and doesent skip or buffer during show.

Good morning fromflytolfy,

I'm glad to see that you interested in taking advantage of the mobile hotspot feature on your device! It's a SUPER convenient way to stay connected, especially while on the go! I had the same question when this feature was released and then we came out with a calculator to assist with monitoring and predicting data consumption! Check it out! www.vzw.com/datacalculator. Keep in mind that this calculator is used to get an estimate. The actual usage may vary depending on the file size and quality of the videos being streamed.

Thank you...
