IOS 5 Update

I purchased my IPhone 4 in November of 2011.  Do I need to update my phone with the IOS 5?

You don't NEED to, but it will give you the latest capabilities and features for your phone.

As mentioned, you don't need to but if you want access to the latest features (example would be iMessage, but there are many more features) then you might want to. Go to the Apple site and read about the features associated with iOS 5. If any of it is of interest to you then you can make the decision if updating is for you. http://www.apple.com/iphone/ios/
