OK, this really is really getting to be too much. This is dragged on and on, dates have come and gone and still NOTHING! talked to HTC over a month ago and they stated they were in final stage 3 of 4 in releasing this. ATT is looking better and better all the time. I will NOT renew any phones until I get some answers.

Greetings to you, jeffindayton!
We absolutely don't want you to leave our wireless family.
Although we do not have details on the software update, when updates are available you can find the details on our news page http://bit.ly/n5snpq or sign up for information here http://bit.ly/dDumph.
I wish I had more details to share at this time. Is your phone working properly at this time?

Looks like HTC has started releasing the update now; though not in the US yet.

This is the same canned standard reply Verizon always posts after someone threatens to leave; nothing new. What Verizon won't do? Come on these boards and give Windows phone customers the straight skinny on exactly what the hold ups really are. They told me Oct. 13 the Cyan update was "now approved by Verizon, and will be pushed to all users by Nov. 13".
Absolute lie. Then they just blew off, with no explanation, the Cyan update completely. I think they scan these boards for the words "leave", "renew", etc. Only then do they become eager.
Please just quit speaking to us like we're stupid.

Thanks for filling us in a bit, jeffindayton. We want your wife and son to have reliable devices to enjoy our network. Do either of them get an error message when the text issue arises? Do they notice it being slow when accessing anything in particular, like an app or the internet? What happens with Bluetooth? Please let us know a little more so we can help them enjoy the phone while software updates are being tested.

The only thing being tested is our patience. Mine is gone.
You failed that test miserably.

Me too. I'm heading to AT&T. I'm tired of being BS'ed like I'm some kind of idiot. That's the worst part.

At least on Verizon you have a chance of getting 8.1 on your HTC. According to Windows Central today, T-Mobile just said that the ONLY phones that will get 8.1 on their network are the Lumia 521 and 925.
HTC owners: S.O.L.
Lumia 635 owners: S.O.L.
They might not get WP10 either. TMO is dead-ending some WP devices pretty early in their lives.
