I'm disappointed at no Lumia 9xx as well.  I'm curious about the mysterious Samsung, but still, it's the camera from the 920 that I want.

For us, the grandkids are always wanting to use our phones.  They get to, of course, but that Kid Corner will be nice.  And 46 of the top 50 apps - that will hopefully help to shut up the folks who think that 120,000 apps isn't enough ('cuz I have all 120,000 installed, and still can't find what I need, right?).

I like the different tile sizes, because I have a good number on the start screen, so using smaller tiles will mean less scrolling.  There was more, but I'm tired, and can't think of what else caught my eye right now.

I did get happy when I received three emails today, stating that three different suggestions that I'd voted on were closed from uservoice, and closed as "completed" because they are included in WP8.  Smiley Happy

Am I the only one that thinks the 822 is the ugliest of all the windows phones being offered?  I really wanted a Nokia phone for the added Nokia apps and the typical great design but I am not sure I can do it.  Every other phone is just better looking than this one.  So sad to see a great design (820 & 920) compromised in the name of having to be and look unique.  Oh well, I have been with Verizon long enough to know what to expect I guess.

However, I am glad the mystery is finally over and we know we ARE getting some pretty good windows phones on verizon and I am happy to see the better specs on the 822.

You all did see this, right?

Right from the horses mouth! Now more rumor or guessing. Except, of course, for the exact date!

And I like the fact that wireless charging will be available on the 8X.

I'm pretty excited about the Windows Phone 8 release. I'm still
using an Imagio by HTC and I just can't wait for the Windows Phone 8X. I've
been through a lot with this little phone and have grown to love it's reliability
- not just its bells and whistles. I know some of you are going to laugh at me
and may even pity people like me who don't go out and by a new phone every 6
weeks (just joking more like every 6 months for some of you). Nonetheless I do
more with the other Windows products so naturally I'll rely on the related
devices - i.e. eventually and hopefully a Surface tablet too. Basically I've
waited this long and I'll take mine in classic black please hopefully the day
the 8X comes out - ah no I won't be staging a sleep over outside my local
Verizon store but I will be waiting.

You know it's about time. Up until now verizon has turned it's back on windows phones.Even now they are not going to carry the premium Windows 8 phones. My plan is on hold now and it looks as though I'm just going to drop my plan. I want the Lumia 920. I have a world Samsung Galaxy Nexus on another carrier. Until Verizon moves over to gsm, Good bye, Right? Maybe some new technology will come and allow this misguided company to join the world. Until then Adios !!

I totally agree, Scott. I was hoping for the L9xx too, but after reading the reviews on the 8X, and also reviews from Roger's users who've gotten the L920 already, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the blue 8X!

Here's a great review from TheVerge.com on the 8X.  The differences are definitely NOT worth jumping ship to AT&T.

It's a matter of choice, I prefer the 920 for the HD display, superior rear facing camera; which today no other phone has outperformed, Nokia's app library specially Drive and Lense that no other OEM can touch.

I might have to bite the bullet and go with the 820 for now, my HTC TP2 is on its last legs and I cannot wait beyond December for a new phone.  I'll wait for Black Friday and see if any rumors of a high end Lumia crop up along with what the Samsung ATIV Odyssey brings to the table; which I'm hearing that its the same as the ATIV S but with wireless charging as well.

They all have keyboards. And what does a keyboard phyical or virtual have anything to do with it being personal?
