Is VZW giving up on Windows Phone? AT&T got it 2 months ago. Get your priorities straight. No wonder Apple doesn't depend on these carriers on phone updates. MSFT probably needs to grow up and do the same.

FYI VZW won't answer. They're not in the business of customer service.

I don't think Microsoft can get away with what cApple gets away with. The cApple fan people would scream Anti-trust and the feds would jump all over any company refusing cApple's desires.

Maybe with Windows 10, Microsoft will change their model and we'll get updates directly from them.

Oh really? I call full of it... AT&T and MMS ring a bell? There's a lot of lawsuits, and complaints to the FFC.... AT&T good and well released it when they wanted to...

Apple phones are all the same, so yeah they all can update together. Windows phones are not all the same, even though they may all be from the same company (Nokia, HTC, whatever). The Nokia Windows Phone site that tells you when the update is available for your model phone lists all the Windows Phone vendors. Only AT&T Nokia phones has the Cyan update as "available". ALL Verizon phones are "under testing". T-Mobile and Cricket are "under testing" or for the T-Mobile Lumia 810 "not unavailable". I think Nokia would be the one pushing out the update and doing the testing. The phones come straight from Nokia. Verizon just negotiates with Nokia as to how they are set up with their apps and labels. Nokia does the hardware design and manufacturing.

Apple update their devices at the same time. They finish the update at different times. They purposely withhold the update until all devices are completed. Gives you the effect they are all timely.
