Verizon’s Samsung Odyssey - Mid-Range Status

WPCentral is reporting the the Samsung Odyssey will be a mid-range phone.

Spec:

• Dimensions – 4.82H x 2.51W x 0.43D
• 4.0” WVGA Super AMOLED
• 5MP Rear (1080P video)
• 1.2MP Front (720P video)
• 1GB RAM, 8GB internal, microSD expansion
• 2100mAh replaceable battery; no wireless charging
• MSM8960 Dual core 1.5 GHz

According to the chart in the Article, the Lumia 822 has better specs.  Though the Samsung has a better battery.

Bummed this is a WVGA phone. I was hoping this would be a repackaged S3, but nooo apparently Verizon doesn't want it's Windows Phones to compete with its already well selling Android base. Pretty sad that it's two months since WP8 release and Verizon still doesn't have a flagship device. Yes, I know there's the 8X but it just doesn't stack up as far as I'm concerned. That 16G storage is too limiting for those of us who like to rock.

Yet another mid range garbage phone that should be free for just signing a 2 year contract. And Verizon wonders why Windows Phones do not sell so much with VZ
