If I enter an event from my phone, the event shows up when I access the calendar other places. Events entered other places including all events entered before the update to not show on the phone calendar. I had to do an update before I did the actual 8.1 update and lost my calendar at that time. Thought it would come back with the actual update but it did not. Also with both the update and the preupdate the date and time on my phone changed to November 2014. I reset.
I would try deleting the account completely and then re-adding it. All your info will still be in the cloud and will come streaming back to your phone. I've had this issue with multiple platforms, including BlackBerry. Re-adding the offending account always cured it.
I don't think that I can delete my Live account. If you know how to do that could you please let me know. I think that I would need to do a hard reset which I only want to do if I absolutely have to.
4 days later my calendar is now showing up. Not all events are there but I am assuming they will eventually show up. I did nothing to make this happen. It just did. very glad I held off on doing a hard reset.

Whew! Glad to hear that your calendar is appearing again in your device. When sign into hotmail on a computer to view your calendar are the missing appointments located there?
