One can only hope.  The question is will they continue windows WP7 devices or wait till WP8.

Doesn't sound like VZW is committed to this at all.

I do think VZW is planning on boarding the WP ship... They only have one model right now May '12, but they have served the 8107 update and seem to be open to working with Nokia! WP is seeing some success on other platforms and will give VZW more power against Apple and Google.

VZW should lean to their side when they talk out of their backside.  It might be easier for us to understand them.

Public companies who "mention" something like this on an investor call are not committing to anything.  They are trying to float this WP balloon to see what pushback they may receive from their investor community.  Nevertheless, I am sure they are wary of getting feedback on their Forums and Facebook page about the lack of WP devices.  They are such a "giant" that they can't make a simple decision and commitment.  It has become quite pathetic.

VZW needs to grow a pair and come out with a roadmap and some device commitments to get buy-in from this customer.  After all, VZW does this with the Android devices that "they made so popular".  Funny, I remember VZW's BlackBerry debacle more than I do anything outstanding they ever did with Android.  As a matter of fact, the need for another ecosystem at VZW is the result of VZW putting all of their business customers on the RIM platform.  Shame on them.

Until then, the shelling will continue on this Forum and Facebook until VZW steps up and makes a "real" WP 8 commitment.

Based on the story above, it looks like the iPhone is progressivly becoming a bigger and bigger headache for VZW.  First, not much iPhone revenue.  Now, not much iPhone sales pipeline or enthusiasm.  From a total VZW iPhone investment perspective (inventory, competition, advertising, technical support, defects, etc.) I wonder how much VZW has lost trying to keep up with AT&T and support the iPhone?

Blackberry is dying and iPhones are declining in interest and sales.  Boo-Hoo.

But once again, AT&T seems to have struck gold with yet another trendy device - the Nokia 900 Windows Phone.  "AT&T has exclusive iPhone" story rerun in 2012?

To me, the conversation that VZW had with Reuters seems to be a long overdue WP announcement that is more based on damage control (dealing with bad decisions with the Blackberry and iPhone) then it is a "great" VZW idea.  Fact of the matter is that the competition came up with a better idea and device before VZW did.  Time to play catch-up once again, VZW!

spoken like a fanboy, not a business man.

Kin has nothing to do with windows phone, only proves further how out of touch Verizon was marketing a feature phone at high price and costly mandatory data plans.

at&t is ahead of the handset curve, verizon should have commissioned the nokia lumia 900 LTE device Spring 2012 except for the fact VZW was late on iPhone and got stuck with the late-in-coming iPhone4 then yawner 4s. at&t (premier wp partner) probably had first right of refusal and hit a home run.

at&t has 3 LTE windows phone devices now, (plus three other 4G/HSPA+ windows phone mango devices) at $49, $99 and $199 covering all bases. Plus the "free" focus flash 4G
