The only good news is that Microsoft has the cash to continue pushing Windows Mobile if they so choose. They spent several years doing exactly that for Xbox while it lost money every year. Eventually Microsoft's commitment paid off and Xbox makes money now. The question becomes if Microsoft actually sees any potential for profit in mobile. Does anybody think the Surface Phone will turn things around? Blackberry thought BB10 would do the same thing, and then the move to Android was supposed to bring them back to a modicum of relevance. Didn't happen. How long before Microsoft waves the white flag and abandons Windows Mobile?

They'll do fine. A lot of people were turned off on the 950/XL. Even reports of bugs that may have spurred sales to lower waiting for bug fixes. Also with rumors of the surface phones people may be holding out in hopes of a more universal carrier device like the iPhone and Nexus devices. I bought the 950 and I do like the platform, but the Surface phone is going to make or break it for me. I am tired of carrying 2 devices whenever I want to use Windows Phone. Nitpicking I know, but I paid for it and I have expectations for my money 🙂

Even Win10 is having its own growing pains. In this case carriers have to sell or allow a WinPho on the network. Xboxes worked on most any TV.

All the fuss over the Priv and you hear little about it on the carriers who do have it.

Ironically on all the platforms I use these apps. Office apps, Skype, Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Wordfeud. As long as those apps are there everything else is gravy lol. I wrote the apps I need for work so there are on all platforms I wish to code with.
