Since Verizon are so slow on rolling out 8.1, it will be okay if I don't pay my bill until then. Right?

You are not paying for updates to your phone. You are paying for access to Verizon wireless cellular and data network.

Verizon is not obligated to update your phone.

Pay your bill.

fair is fair if you have proof Verizon has it and it's ready to be pushed out and they are intentionally withholding it.  I have yet to see any evidence pointing to that fact.

Even if Verizon is holding it back you are still required to pay your bill. But if you want to be without service and have a knock on your credit report by all means go for it.

Go right ahead, don't come back on this Forum though when your prepaid phone doesn't get any updates because you'll never get another postpaid phone again without $400 down.
