So for the record, I thank VZW for the update. It won't affect me personally as I don't do alot of international traveling. At least it is SOMETHING.

Got it just now. Curious if you two have gotten it yet?
My steps:
Set Cellular Data setting back to "Global"
Set Airplane mode to on (aka disable wi-fi & cell radio)
Connect to Zune
Check for Update
Let me know if that expedites your Update retrieval

I received my update as well, however I didn't need to set to "Airplane" mode.
I do have a question. I had previously did a manual OS update to 8107. Did the VZW update, update the OS as well (up from the Mango 7720) or just the firmware & radio? At least to 7740?
Regards

Oh, I didn't for update to 8107, I'm on Mango 7720 and got just the HTC update. Tried updating again but got nothing. I supposed your forced state to 8107 may be breaking the ability to get the HTC update, if possible, roll back, try to get the HTC update and then force the 8107 again.

No, everything went fine with the VZW update this evening. No issues at all.
Current Trophy config:
OS: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware: 2305.13.20110.605
Radio: 1.53.00.12.01_23.17w.05.13U
Needed to update the OS becuase the Exchange Server issue on 7720 practically made the phone usless for business (at least for me).
Was just curious if the VZW update included an OS update as well. Obviously not so I'm glad I didn't wait.
Have a trip to Brazil in 10 days. Will see if the VZW update actually fixes the 3G connection issue on return..
Will advise.
Regards

Interesting Musu123. I did the 8107 update manually a few days ago and here are my version numbers:
OS 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision 2305.13.20104.605
Hardware revision 0003
Radio software 1.53.00.08.02_23.16w.05.06U
Radio hardware 3.2.3.D4
Bootloader version 2.1.230513.4
Chip SOC 2.3.0.5.13
Looks like my Firmware and Radio software are out of date, but Zune doesn't check that deep so thinks the phone is current and doesn't download anything. Hmm... There's gotta be a way to trigger another update.

Did you update the OS to 7.10.8107.79 after the Verizon update, or did you get the update with 7.10.8107.79 already installed on your Phone???
Also, everyone that's received it... Are you on the East Coast, West Coast, in the Middle???
Thanx,
