I completely agree.  We already pay more for our Verizon services than all the other networks, so why should I pay for an update that is already 7 weeks delayed?!  If anything, Verizon should be refunding me money for my not having the full capabilities available on my phone.

You know as I told you before you are wrong. Both on my employment (one more time I am retired) and on updates to your device or any device.

You have not produced any factual evidence that Verizon or any cell carriers must provide updates.

Even the FCC has no such rules or regulations regarding this issue

You yourself and others have agreed to that statement.

I like Verizon for their service coverage and data services. Being with them forever I like their service.

Do I like their inattention and fast ones regarding to "non received devices" " damaged or lost in returning for replacement" " throttling customers that are not abusing the data system" and other important issues you need read all my posts going back years. Fan boy? Read my posts. You could not be more off base.

And that so called windows update is an enhancement not a given. Again the device worked at time of purchase and will/would still work without it.

Give it a rest.

And Verizon's windows phone user base is very low. Personally if you and other windows users all complained at once  it would  not even ripple on the water.

If you believe AT&T is better, please just port over to them.

As I said to another poster just look at the complaints on their forum about window phone updates and problems after the updates.

And Windows has always been the leader in OS. From their DOS right up to now with Windows 8.1 and windows 9 arriving soon. So that was a moot point on your post.

When folks cannot justify their posts they like to deflect on the poster as you have done over and over to me.

I give you factual information or debate, you throw up "I work for Verizon"

Like I said you don't know what you are posting about.

Happy Friday

How many individuals on here are screaming that they will be switching to AT&T once their contract is up?

You mean as they HAVE been doing for the last 6 years on ALL platforms, Windows included??? I'm surprised Verizon has any customers left, notwithstanding the fact their customer base has been INCREASING during that time.

Paying for Verizon services is "the use of the cellular & data network with a functional device"

You see its just this sort of misinformation that gets to me.

You buy a device any where from any retailer and use it on Verizon's network. It functioned.

Plain and simple.

It did not come with a disclaimer stating it has to be given any updates. Why is this so hard for you and others to understand?

Personally I wish the device makers and OS developers that put out upgrade enhancements not security patches but enhanced functions charge for those upgrades.

If the device worked on purchase, there is no hurry or emergency to get better or faster upgrade simply because it was made.

If as you say "paying for Verizon services is "the use of the cellular & data network with a functional device," then why business does Verizon have in demanding interference with updates from the manufacturer.  Its not like the manufacturers are begging Verizon to delay the updates to their devices.  Part of what I am paying Verizon for IS the updates to my device.  Deny it all you want, but that IS part of the service I am paying for, as admitted to me by the Verizon Executives I have spoken with.  The reason given for that being part of the service IS due to the fact that Verizon demands interfernence.  They are testing to ensure the device update does not cause problems on their network.  THAT is what I am paying for, their testing!  And as a paying customer, I have every right to complain when the service I am paying for is inefficient and unsatisfactory!

Funny, but I never once used the term "Fan boy."  What I wrote was he is a "Verizon employee posing as a Verizon fan"  So you guys are the ones who are "off base."

It's curious how Verizon does not advertise those updates as being part of the service they are selling, then. They certainly advertise EVERY OTHER aspect of the service they sell. Biggest service footprint? Advertised. Unlimited minutes? Advertised. Shared data? Advertised. 4G LTE? Advertised. Updates? Not advertised. Possibly because it is not a service they are selling, whether or not you THINK you are paying them for it. Maybe you should get those executives to start advertising about those updates being part of the service they are selling. Maybe THEN the updates would be released sooner????

You are correct in one aspect, "They are testing to ensure the device update does not cause problems on their network. THAT is what I am paying for, their testing!" NOT the update, itself.

Nor was my "quote" of YOUR post, but Elector's post.

The following correction to make the "quote" from "you" STILL has the same connotation.

It is always curious how people disregard your(Elector's) MANY posts slamming Verizon when they call you(along with others) a Verizon "fan"!!!
