Memo to Daniel Meade, CEO Verizon Wireless!!!!!

There is a very active Windows Phone (not mobile!!!, give you props for having your peeps change the name recently) community on your network.  There is absolutely NO reason that the number one carrier in the country does not carry ANY high-end Windows Phones.  The HTC Trophy will not cover it for us power users and professionals, who do not wish to go the Iphone or Android route.  Perfectly acceptable OS's, but not as near intuitive as Windows Phone's new OS, IMHO.

It has been reported that Verizon Representatives attended the Nokia World conference recently and were in negotiations for some new device(s).  That's great, that's what we like to hear.  Then, just recently, your spokesperson, during an interview, said that Verizon wouldn't consider a Windows Phone device without LTE.  Fine, that's OK, you've invested in your infrastructure, which has growing pains as we all know it, so I would expect that you would want the top tier devices.

The mosr recent rumor (I really hope it's not true), is that Verizon turned down ALL LTE devices that run the Windows Phone OS.  Is this true?  Did your company actually lie durng an interview, or misspeak or blow smoke up the interviewer's ass?  ATT will get, arguably the most desired device since the Iphone 4S, the LTE enabled Nokia Ace (900), and us Verizon Windows Phone users will get the Nokia 710, which is a low end device with no LTE to boot.  What is wrong with this picture?  You have the NUMBER ONE network in the country and yet you steer all your customers to android and Iphone!!!  What is Verizon afraid of, are you pissed at Microsoft, Nokia?  What?

I really hope VZN starts to carry some high-end devices soon.  My four lines, which I have had with you for 7 years is going to ATT, which has THE best choice of Windows Phone devices.  Other VZN customers feel the same way, read the tech blogs/sites.

You should play with one of your HTC Trophys for awhile.  Although VERY low end, you will get a feel for the OS, give it a chance.  Thanks!

Why are you Windows users so stubborn, the facts are there's not a demand, the windows market is very small its all about Android/Iphone. Verizon doesn't see a reason to carry Windows nor can i blame them, they did terrible before  and they don't see a need for them (can't say i blame them). Yet despite all this windows users continue to piss and moan and insist that Verizon is dumb because they won't carry it. So let me get this straight a company should carry a product that has little to no demand???? yeah sure who cares about profit lets please the 5% of people who want a Windows phone. Until Windows proves they can compete which they haven't even come close if you follow the market share of OS systems, until that moment comes what the hell could Verizon possibly gain from pleasing such a very small market.

PS-The Nokia Ace is nowhere even close to being as desirable as an Iphone 4S even you should realize that buddy. People aren't lining up out the doors for windows phones lol

I could say the same to you iPhone users. Why are you so stubborn. Why do you think that iOS is the only real OS. We have different needs and wants. I have been a Windows device user since they introduced the first Pocket PC over ten years ago. Long before any similar iThingy.

That said, WP is getting great reviews from users of both iOS and Android. So there is positive press out there. We want choice. just like you iOS users before iPhone came to VZW.

Enough said.

Dear Verizon. Please get some better WP7 phones. We are getting tired of waiting!

Ok fair enough you can say the same to iphone users, but which one is bringing money to the table, nobody cares about reviews, your phone could be the greatest reviewed of all time, but if only 10 people want it and 50 people want the other phone which do you think LOGICALLY a company would want. Gotta put yourself in their shoes i can see why they don't, the Windows market isn't worth it, there's not any revenue worth investing in Windows.

Your comments have merit but the thorn in our sides that the CMO Marni Walden stated they would not carry and Windows Phones till there is LTE support and then supposedly turns down said LTE devices. Also if VZW has no plans to carry any Window Phone devices than just come out and say so, so that we can go to another carrier.

In regards to demands, if there isn't any demands why is at&t carrying so many devices?  Plus when Verizon released the Trophy no store would display it where people could see it or the sales folks even discuss the device with customers.  There have been reports that even that some of the sales folks would discourage the device if people asked about it and point to an iPhone or an Andriod.  The Trophy has sold out a few times on the online store so you can't say there isn't some demand.

The Windows Phone OS can compete with Andriod and iOS anytime.  It does just about everything they do except the slight lack of applications but that growing and it growing faster than any of Andriod or iOS app store did when they were initially released.

IPhones are the only device people line up for, name me any other phone people stand on line for? Plus the Nokia Ace (Lumia 900) hasn't been released yet so how would people know about the phone yet alone stand on a line to get one?

Do you think Android grew as well as it did on Verizon because someone brought a boat of cash to Verizon's door step?   Google might have brought some, but no, in general Verizon invested heavily in promoting Android and at the time they had to because people wanted the iPhone, but Verizon refused to sign up under Apple's terms for the first few years.....to the detriment of their customer (and former customers).  Verizon isn't going to have a market if they never offer phones and don't push it themselves.  The problem is that they don't want to support another OS, they are a business and are hoping their customers will find everything they need in Android and iOS.  Really though, Verizon can get away with little investment and still support WP7 devices.  It is the device manufacturer's that have to certify their phones and Verizon isn't required to recreate all their Android apps for WP7 and they can also leave the marketing up to Microsoft and the device partner (like Nokia).  MS and Nokia have already spent millions on marketing and not one penny of that is/for a Verizon phone.  If nothing Verizon is losing out on free advertisement.  I could understand if the WP7 devices were getting terrible consumer reviews, but most of these phones have higher average scores than any other phone out there or at least the top 10....which says a lot for the "new OS on the block".

So, Verizon, (and all of you iPhone and Android users who think that WP users are inflexible) what we are asking, is Verizon going to support WP or not? When Verizon did not carry the iPhone, users knew it and that they needed to change carriers to get one. Then when it was announced that it was coming to Verizon, it was advertised for months before the phone finally became available.

I have difficulty buying into it is the device manufacturers that are holding Verizon hostage. After all, wouldn't you want your devices on the number on network?

So, we would simply like the same courtesy. Windows Phones on Verizon or not? Please stop stringing us along.

And I would stand in line for the right WP device.

If Android doesn't work out the bugs and glitches, I wouldn't be surprised if many people take a good long look at iOS AND Windows phones. I know I will.
