Well you know what, if Verizon knew what was good for them, they would get this information out quickly and confirm they do have plans for Nokia, if they indeed do. Because they have to see now that many of us are ticked off. Im not going to wait around forever for them to confirm something.

They better confirm this fast, because I am not going to wait much longer. Ive had it with how theyve handled Windows phones and Nokia.

I will NOT settle for an HTC phone. Either Verizon gets Nokia or I either leave Verizon or I switch from Windows phone to Android.  I have had horrible experiences with call quality and over all quality/support with HTC phones. The actual PHONE CALL portion of their phones must be thought of at the very end when the make their phones. They will never get another dime from me.

I've been waiting for the LTE Window 8 phone. I want Nokia 920 I will leave Verizon for good. I have been faithful user of their service for 17 years. Always buy a phone with GSM/CDMA option. I not crossing my fingers anymore of hoping. They have until end of December with me. Hello AT&T.... My contract is for 2 years now.  No announcements for Windows 8 phone yet. The launch date is Oct 29 for Windows phone. What is Verizon problem.............

I wouldnt even give them that long. They just heard that it is officially out now that ATT had exclusive Nokia 920. If they actually gave a damn, that would issue something quickly if they have any real intentions to put out a Nokia phone. No excuse to leave us in the dark on this, especially given that we now know ATT gets the 920 and we dont.

IMO, VZW has a few problems:

  1. They rely too heavily that they have the "best" coverage of all the other carriers.  They treat it like it's a trump over everything else.
  2. They don't seem to care about what the customers are actually asking for - they just make available whatever phones they want.
  3. They don't communicate their plans so the customers can plan our purchases.

Well, they arent going to hold this coverage thing over my head. I already have to use a network extender in my house. So unless they announce something soon on their own Nokia phones, im gone. Period. They can screw, as far as Im concerned.

You know damn well people are wanting info about this and that ATT just announced officially they are getting exclusive 920, so for you to continue to be silent is just unacceptable. Ive made up my mind, I will no longer hesitate to leave Verizon.

, Don't rule out HTC just because of the name.  My last four phones, including Trophy, have been HTC.  They have all been solid, and have had no problems.  The two smartphones before that I don't remember what they were called, or who made them - they were Windows Mobile 3 or 4 or something like that - way before iPhone....  I don't remember exactly.  But I've been using Windows Mobile / Windows CE devices well before they had phones in them, so I don't remember when I crossed the line and got the one with the first one that was a phone.

Yes, Trophy is mediocre hardware compared to many of the other models.  But keep in mind that OEMs make phones for a range of people and some want low end, while others want high end.  It's not HTC's fault that Verizon picked the low end for us.  They sold Verizon the phones that Verizon picked out.  The Titan II is a killer device that I would love to have had a year ago when it came out, and HTC made it.

Yes, Nokia made the phone to beat this round.  That doesn't mean HTC doesn't have one that they're holding close to the vest waiting for just the right moment to pull out and shock and awe all of us. It wouldn't be the first time, and surely it won't be the last.  This isn't a game where one company makes the best and always has the best.  There will be leap-frogging along the way.
