Is Verizon really planning to block the 950 and 950XL, as reported by news reports?

Most companies run Microsoft software so they are sure to be interested in the 950 and 950XL, seems like a big mistake. Verizon is not the only carrier if they block the 950XL we will take our family plan elsewhere.

MS admitted they talked to no carrier other than AT&T. So your only option is to buy from AT&T or buy unlocked. They will not work on any CDMA MVNO or major CDMA carrier.

Not sure where you got that info, It's been clearly said, from a very respectable source at Microsoft,  that Microsoft talked to Verizon and they wanted nothing to do with them and would block the 950 or 950XL from their network if Microsoft enabled the bands....

Get your facts right, or provide information on where you saw or got this info...

Show that source. Legere said if was bull and MS admitted after that. Go through the other threads. It's in there and from another reputable source.

If that were true the MS could go to the FCC. That's why it's BS from that "reputable" source. If it's from that previous article flying around it is easily debunked. A guy who worked for Verizon as a engineer and stopped working there before the Block C changes... he needs to keep up as there are plenty of information about Verizon moving over to a GSM authentication scheme. FYI LTE is GSM not CDMA. WCDMA is GSM not CDMA.
