One word, NOKIA!

However I would still be interested in other phones but Nokia has the best experience so far.

And when all is said and done all your points can stand for Android apps as well...  But anyway I have moved on you have your impression of Windows device and I beg to differ...  I do not care to type long drawn out post to prove that your thought of Android is so flawed but that's your view.

The truth is each to their own but in my view and history with windows mobile device vs Android devices is the Windows is flawed and cant compare to Androids performance but this is my opinion..

I have been into Android for close to 2 years and I prefer creating apps for it verse WM..

Like I said its a opinion and not a competition. I will end this with the statement...  I agree to disagree. Moving On..

danvega wrote:

Wildman clearly you have not worked with Windows Phone 7.x as it doesn't remotely resemble the pile of crap Windows Mobile was. It's like calling Mac OS X the same as OS 9 or calling Windows 7 the same as Windows 3.1. Except in this case the OS is nothing at all like the previous Windows Mobile. I'm not sure what Unix and Windows has to do with this phones OS because this isn't a PC and the operating systems are nothing alike. Anyway take a look at this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=27570 and you'll find Windows Phone is completely different.

I simply think WP7 UI looks cheap, but like I always reported that WM 6.5 was my last windows device that I have put apps together for and I noticed more issues developing for it than Android...  And as for Unix and Windows comparison was a view of performance, Linux always handled resources better than Windows and since Android was built from Linux base code and kernel the performance ratio would be comparable .

I'm not into a comparison competition, original post was a response to a previous question..  Since I am in a WM area I am not surprised the one sided direction of this post, on that note like I said above "I Agree to Disagree"  and moving on..

I read this as well. I am sure VZW is preparing something similar (one would hope). You can bet some users will be willing to pay the ETF to get this phone at this price. At least we know that ATT/Nokia will not have hard time selling a boatload of these phones.

Hello

First I have to say that I love my Trophy. Second let me say that VZW support of Windows Phone is subpar!! It doesn't seem like there is any hope in sight of getting other WP OS based phones anytime soon. I have yet to have a single problem with my phone but would like to have a bigger screen, better camera, and just a 'better' phone. Again I love the Trophy though. So last but not least let me say... Third that I am doing my part to help your cause by leaving VZW as soon as my number gets ported to the blue and white ball company. They already have a good handful of WP phones plus verified that more are on the way do to the popularity of them. I was really hoping that VZW would get their head out of the laps of Androids, iPhone, and Blackberry and realize that they are passing up what I consider to be a superior product to all the others mentioned. I'm done walking into a VZW Corporate store where the Trophy isn't even displayed or if it is it isn't even turned on. Not that my multiple lines and multiple Trophy's and my over $200 a month means much to VZW but I've had enough of their disregard for WP users. Good luck to you guys but I'm jumping ship because I'm done waiting for a newer and better class of Windows Phone... Hail to the Trophy but hello Titan2 Smiley Happy

Well it looks like the CDMA Lumia 800 is out in China. Dont get too excited as I dont expect to see the 800 or 900 at Verizon. Id imagine they will release a whole new phone out this summer or fall depending on when Apollo is released. Either way the progress is good, just wish it would come a little faster.

Many of us were just chatting about the Nokia 610 on another discussion thread and out on the WP Central forum.  Looks like the Tango update is going to allow, at least Nokia, to release a high end and low end (cost) variety of devices.  A variety of devices running the SAME OPERATING SYSTEM.  How very non-DROID.

Pushing 700 signatures.  That's pretty good.  Please be sure to share with your family and friends on Facebook and Twitter.  If they "LIKE" you, then they too will want you to have a WP7 through Verizon.

FTom - I wanted to add the information below to the list of Verizon Executive Contacts you
mention above. I like the petition idea and I like the idea of a full inbox of
email asking for more WP devices!

To send an email to any of the brass at Verizon wireless, go to this
list, pick out the person, and their email will be firstname.lastname@verizonwireless.com

Business users, hook up with the Business VP. Military users, hook up
with your Military contact at the bottom of the list. Geeks, geek out with the
CIO. North, South, East, West; pick your contact and send them some WP love.

(I kinda feel bad about publishing all of the names, profiles and photos,
but after all, the folks below KNOW who we are and have no problem filling my
email and mailbox with requests to use their FIOS, home phones, etc. Not quite
sure why I am expected to buy what Verizon wants me to, yet they won't carry
what WE are looking for!?!)

Add me to the list of people who want a Samsung Windows phone from Verizon. I have been very happy with Verizon's service and I want to stay with them. I LOVE the beautiful screens that Samsung makes. I want a Windows phone.
