Contacts won't sync

Has anyone successfully gotten their Backup contacts from their old phone to sync to their new phone?  I'm going to be annoyed if I have to type them all back in.  They exist online when I go look them up, but syncing them does nothing -- they don't show up on my HTC 8x.  When I go to call someone, only email contacts show up.  NOT HELPFUL.

Look in Settings/People (its on the second settings page). Tap on "Filter my contact list" and be sure 'Back Up Assistant' is checked. Also check any other accounts listed if you want them to show up as well.

If Back up assistant isnt showing - you will need to add it under settings/accounts.

It might take a few minutes but all your contacts should get synced. If not, go to settings/back up assistant and do a sync there.

Also try this.

-People Hub

-Slide up menu (three dots)

-Tap Settings
-Tap Filter Contacts

-Make sure all accounts are checked. If Backup Assistant isn't in there go back.

-Scroll down to "add an account" and follow the instructions.
