Hum. Not the best of news. That pretty much kills the idea of Verizon picking up any net-new Windows Phone customers for a while. Heck, for $100 we may even see some frustrated Verizon WP Forum visitors pay their exit fee and jump on this deal.
Speaking of news, I am also hearing news from the north that many corporate IT departments are making the same move: to AT&T. Seems that Verizon isn't too thrilled about companies dumping their Blackberry programs and asking for iPhone or Droid replacements. With Verizon dragging their feet in making a deal, many have looked to AT&T for a better corporate deal than they are getting from Verizon with devices their employees like and want.
"A good deal on a phone that you want" seems to be a reoccurring theme with AT&T. Lots of new 4G LTE billboards going up in FL and TX from what I can see, too.
Verizon is starting to remind me of the Planes, Trains & Automobiles movie-scene where John Candy finds out that he is "Going the Wrong Way"...

Of course, the grass isn't always greener...
AT&T accused of deleting complaint posts from their Windows Phone support forum

I am also fond of the saying that when human food (Taco Bell, in this case) is cheaper than dog food, you should be concerned!

As soon as my contract is over, I'm gone whether Verizon has a new wp7 or not. This is ridiculous.

At least AT&T actually read their forums.... I'm not too sure VZW does. (And if they do, they still don't care about customer demands.)

The Moderators and the community managers are the only official employees on the ATT forums. They are a peer to peer forum just like this community.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

AT&T planning for a post-8107 OS update for current Windows Phones
http://www.wpcentral.com/att-planning-post-8107-os-update-current-windows-phones
So, Ann154: If you have some insight into what happens at AT&T, perhaps you can explain this bad news / good news situation that all of the WP7 AT&T Customers are complaining about.
1 - My understanding from your post is that you are saying that it is either a moderator or manager who has been deleting AT&T Forum posts that do not violate any forum rules or standards? Deleted because they were complaints?
2 - My understanding from your post that it was ether a moderator or manager who oscillated this "NO 8107" concern to upper management?
3 - Am I wrong in assuming that upper management came up with this "WAIT until Tango" solution for the AT&T customers?
Why not keep the customers happy and just tell them at the 8107 update would kill their 4G connections, or something of that nature? Why be defiant by just telling the customers "NO" - especially when AT&T has seen how screwed up the Droids are with 3 different versions of software floating around out there? Not to say that Verizon is any better, but AT&T needs to sharpen their customer skills if they want people to switch.
Thank you for the insight, Ann154. BTW, this forum is only peer to peer. I have tried to post industry articles to promote Windows Phones at Verizon, but it is very clear that VZW does not read our forums or any other industry publications - digital media or other. As was stated in a post on this forum a few months ago; "Verizon is missing out on WP7 while they sit in the bathroom and make out with their Droid phones!"

Well, Verizon is not interested in any pretty cell phone in the world. Just go to the store every corner of it with a big piece of black and white crap with the name motorola. The only pretty phone is the iPhone not even the rzr that thing. at least the phone is pretty but the motorola UI damn it who want's it? they dont know what samsung is I think because samsung android is really pretty. I will cancel my contract in 3 months if they dont bring the nokia or a pretty phone.

I don't know why the posts were or were not deleted from the ATT forum. I was a contributor there until the last few months and understand what kinds of posts are there and which ones they don't allow. I can say within the Lithium platform that the ATT forum uses only the Administrators and Moderator have the power to delete posts there. Beyond that, you would need to direct your questions to the Administration team at the ATT forum.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
